The whole area of the Rocca di Campiglia, located in the municipality of the same name, is located on a hill just under 300 meters high and was completely restored in 2008, thanks also to the excavation campaigns of the University of Siena. It looks like a semicircular area that includes various structures and buildings: that of the dungeon, the ancient cistern, part of the imposing crenellated walls and the building of the local lords, as well as an aqueduct from the 1930s. Inside the Rocca area there is a Museum with all the artifacts found in the excavations, almost all belonging to the ancient noble Della Gherardesca family. Among these finds are an almost intact armor, a helmet and a small collection of weapons.
